Holiday workshop: What does art tell us?

Thursday, Jul 2, 2026 – Friday, Jul 3, 2026, 11 am – 3 pm

The holiday workshop focusses on the narrative quality of Catherine Opie’s work. Participants are invited to discover the stories behind the images to then get creative themselves. By experimenting with various forms of artistic expression, such as portrait photography and animation, they create new works of art that tell their own personal stories.

The artworks will be presented to friends, family, and anyone else interested at a public final presentation on July 3 at 2.30 pm.

Susanne Stein studied Visual Communication in Kassel and works as freelance graphic designer, artist, and art educator. She is in charge of the creative activities in the Studiowerkstatt that engages with the current Fridericianum exhibitions every Saturday.
