Holiday workshop: What does creativity have to do with boredom?

Wednesday, Apr 9, 2025 – Friday, Apr 11, 2025, 11 am – 2 pm

Together with artist and art educator Susanne Stein, the young participants embark on an exploration tour of some of Mario García Torres’ the main subjects: memory, the conception of (hi)stories and questioning the negative connotation of the phenomenon of boredom. For the latter, the group engages with Mario García Torres’ invented creature Xoco, who loves being bored.

Part of the workshop also refers to Lee Kit’s walk-on synthesis of the arts. Focus lies on the poetic elements of his exhibition, which will be jointly explored, and reflected in the participants’ own creative work.

Final presentation: Friday, April 11, 2025, 2–3 pm
