Together with the Fridericianum art educators, the participants set out on a discovery tour of US-American artist Melvin Edwards’s exhibition Some Bright Morning. His sculptures, installations and works on paper engage with topics of racism, oppression, marginalization, slavery as well as politics and the cultural production in the US and Africa. He opens a comprehensive referential system and talks about people who inspired him as well as personally challenging societal contexts. The tour offers insights into his abstract language of form, his thematic focal points, and his own eventful life.
The costs for the tours are included in the entrance fee. No registration required.
