Every Saturday, the Fridericianum Studiowerkstatt opens for small and tall visitors, aged five and upwards: Those interested are invited to get inspired by the exhibitions, work creatively together and make their own art. During the next few months, everything revolves around the work of US-American artist Melvin Edwards. His sculptures, installations, and works on paper engage with serious topics, such as racism, but often offer a glimmer of hope at the same time; for example, in raising the question on how we as humans can live together more peacefully. Guided by the art educators, the participants approach these subjects in a child-friendly manner, using techniques like drawing, glueing, reading, constructing, printing, and experimenting.
For young and old, aged 5 and up.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Admission is free.
No registration required.
