LOOKING FOR PATTERNS

Saturday, Nov 25, 2023, 2 pm – 5 pm

Currently, patterns and rythms are omnipresent in the Fridericianum. The workshop with Linda Gottwald encourages its participants to investigate these structures by collaboratively exploring the works of Tauba Auerbach, the intervention of Kerstin Brätsch, as well as the museum halls, including staircases, floors, and walls – always focusing on patterns, forms, colors and geometric shapes. This process allows the creation of unique graphical works using techniques such as collage, superimposition and transference.

Linda Gottwald (*1995) studied art education, philosophy and visual communication at the Kunsthochschule Kassel. In her artistic practice, ranging from drawings to spatial installations and video works, she is particularly concerned with a perception that goes beyond the purely visual and deals with the question of accessibility. For documenta 15 she was involved in the conception of the guided tours in simple language.
