The Fridericianum regularly offers public guided tours. Our event calender informs you about the current dates. Costs are included in the entrance fee.
Booked Tours & Workshops
We offer individually designed guided tours and workshops for private, corporate, student, and travel groups or for children’s birthday parties. We are happy to advise you on your booking.
Guided group tours (60 min.) are 60 Euro plus 4 Euro admission per person. Group workshops (120 min.) are 120 Euro.
School Groups
For school groups, we offer guided tours through the exhibition with our staff of experienced educators. Workshops are led by artists and educators with a view to sharing the fundamentals of art and stimulating creative discussion. We are happy to advise you on the content and planning of our workshops.
Guided tours for school groups are 30 Euro. Workshops for school groups (120 min.) are 60 Euro.

The Fridericianum is an open house that wishes to provide access to as many visitors as possible.
Admission
People with over 50% disability pay a reduced admission fee of EUR 4. People accompanying individuals with a “B” on their Disability Card are admitted free of charge. Guide dogs are allowed throughout the building.
Directions
The Fridericianum is located on Friedrichsplatz in Kassel, in the immediate vicinity (200 m) of the “Friedrichsplatz” tram stop. Parking spaces are available in the nearby “Friedrichsplatz” underground parking lot. A detailed map of the City of Kassel’s parking facilities can be found here.
Access Routes
Access to the building and the exhibition spaces is possible via an outside ramp (approx. 8% incline) and via two elevators (125 × 145 cm) inside the building.
The doors in the Fridericianum operate manually and will therefore not open automatically. The staff will be happy to help; the service telephone number is: 0049 (0) 561 70727 3010.
The Fridericianum does not have a guidance system for people with visual impairments. Guide dogs for the blind are allowed.
Toilets
There are two barrier-free toilets in the basement of the Fridericianum. In addition, there is a barrier-free washroom with a bench and hoist. The ticket office staff will be happy to help at any time.
Seating
The ticket office offers folding museum stools that can be loaned out free of charge.
Infants
Children can be fed and nursed in the café in the Rotunda. Diaper changing tables are located in the barrier-free restrooms in the basement.
