Talk between DDr. Monika Leisch-Kiesl and Moritz Wesseler (Director Fridericianum)

In recent years, DDr. Monika Leisch-Kiesl has intensively engaged with Toba Khedoori’s oeuvre, and her examination has resulted in the comprehensive publication Evoking a Sign | Perceiving an Image. Toba Khedoori : Drawn Image (2016/engl. 2021).

DDr. Monika Leisch-Kiesl is an art scholar and philosopher, Professor of Art History and Aesthetics at the KU Private University in Linz, Austria, and regularly conducts research at several institutions in Basel, Switzerland.

Her research focuses on image and text, drawing, art theory and aesthetics, gender studies, and art in inter- and transcultural contexts.
