Saturday, Dec 2, 2023 – Sunday, Dec 3, 2023, 2 pm – 5 pm
“Glowesabend” is upon us – the Northern Hesse tradition on December 6th when children dress up as little Santas and go from door to door reciting a poem or singing a song for which they are then rewarded with sweets. The treat bag called “Glowesbeutel” serves as a receptacle for all the collected treasures. In collaboration with the local business association City Kaufleute Kassel e. V. the Fridericianum extends an invitation to get creative and design your own “Glowesbeutel”.
With rubber stamps, yarns, textiles, and printing techniques you can let your imagination run free at various workshop stations – including little sweet surprises along the way. In addition, there will be special guided tours for children and their accompanying adults through the exhibition of Tauba Auerbach, where the works will be explored in a playful way.
The 30-minute guided tours start at 2, 3 and 4 pm.
For children from the age of five and up, only accompanied by an adult.
Attendance is free.
Registration is not required, drop in and out at any time.
